Happy Houseplants x The Plant Rescuer

RHS CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW

Plants provide oxygen so we can breathe, remove pollutants from the air and improve our mental wellbeing. But what about our plant's wellbeing? All too often houseplants are treated as disposable items, like a wilted bunch of flowers, discarded when they no longer look their best, but they are alive and do so much for us, the least we can do is try our best to keep them happy. They deserve our gratitude. What better way to show this than a Plant Clinic.

Happy Houseplants x The Plant Rescuer

The Plant Clinic is an interactive space for people to learn how to better care for their plants. With proper care, houseplants can live for decades and even become heirlooms. Inside the studio we will remind the plants of where they came from by creating a rainforest environment. We will demonstrate the different substrates which can be used to pot our plants at the Soil Bar and encourage visitors to get their hands dirty. There will be a Steam Room (a large, humid Terrarium housing tropical plants and mosses) and a Jacuzzi (propagation vessels with added bubbles of oxygen) a Juice Bar which supplies our plants with minerals and nutrients essential for healthy growth, and a Solarium where light is provided for photosynthesis.
